SunClean Glass Featured on National Network News Broadcast NEW YORK, March 26, 2002 - Ready for spring cleaning? PPG Industries is - its new SunClean self-cleaning glass appeared this morning on Good Morning America's spring-cleaning feature, with an estimated audience of 4.5 million households. Good Morning America's home improvement editor, Ron Hazelton, demonstrated the dramatic difference between ordinary glass and SunClean glass. On the window made with ordinary glass, water beaded and streaked down the glass. On the SunClean glass, water ran down the window in a sheeting action, drying quickly and evenly. The difference is due to SunClean's special coating that uses the sun's ultraviolet light to break down and loosen dirt and to cause water to sheet - easily rinsing loosened dirt away. At the close of the segment, Hazelton added, "I think it's going to make window washing a lot easier, especially on the outside." Good Morning America is just the latest consumer media coverage of SunClean glass. The product has also been seen in publications such as The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Washtingon Post, Time, BusinessWeek and Good Housekeeping.
